Vincom is the largest shopping mall chain in Vietnam, affiliated with Vingroup. With the mission of improving the shopping experience, Vincom wants to build a mobile application where users can update information about stores, promotions, offers, etc.
I always start by connecting with stakeholders and teams of developers, PMs, testers, etc. This helps me grasp the overall picture & the main goal of the project, how to implement the work, the strengths & weaknesses of the members, especially the front-end developers, whom I regular contact to ensure that the final output is in accordance with the design.
After capturing project information, I was assigned the task of market research. We had a meeting to scope out the target audience with a long list of functions.
Market research is to determine the strengths/weaknesses of our competitors and to see if our feature ideas are truly unique or not.
After determining the required features, I build a sitemap and flow between screens. I also build the "golden path", optimizing users' time and effort for the core features of the application is extremely important.
As mentioned above, understanding and working closely with front-end developers is very important. Luckily, I also have experience in this field so the communication went very smoothly.
I always prioritize building the design guide file as soon as possible and spend half a day meeting, handing over and training on this file.

To me, a design that only looks good on design software is a failure.
In this project, we build and test continuously. This helps minimize errors to the maximum extent. Once I finished building the feature, I started designing low-fidelity wire-frames and getting internal feedback.
To make the testing session effective, I designed a questionnaire with requirements, so that observation will be more convenient and accurate.
All of this insight will be recorded for analysis and redesign before testing on a small number of real users.
User testing will be conducted based on the prototype. The number of participants is 50 people and the testing scope includes 10 main features. Participants will be asked to complete various tasks and every behavior during the test is carefully recorded.

The smallest details will make your product better.
After making some necessary modifications, we quickly began building version one of the design and preparing it for release. There is no better research and collection tool than listening to feedback from users on a large scale
