1. Introduction

The The Contemporary Craft & Design Fair is the place for anyone interested in craft, design, independent brands and artisan food producers. Their desire is to build a system where exhibitors, events, tickets (including multiple ticket types), invitees and access can be centrally managed.

2. Approach

This was a difficult project for a designer to approach when all the information was unclear and forced me to become a business analyst. All I have is long PDF describing their idea and even vague visions of the product

3. Stakeholder Research & User Journey

User journey

I think the best and most effective way to start for projects like this is to draw a user journey. This helps me clearly grasp the feature list, the rights of roles in the system, their main tasks, and from there I can quickly create a user flow.

4. High-fidelity Wireframe & User Flow

After determining the data about roles and features, I started building the interface and user flow. Because we don't have much time, this will help stakeholders visualize the layout, arrangement of features and flow between screens in the most intuitive way.

5. Challange

One of the challenges of this system is that it allows creating multiple sub-events within 1 event and allows adding tickets for each respective event.

My task is to design a way for event managers to easily manipulate, manage and observe each type of ticket for each type of event to avoid unnecessary errors.

Create event

I decided to use high contrast between the important elements and the rest, which naturally makes users immediately aware of important features in the page that they may not want to miss.

6. Data Transfer

Possessing a huge user information system, customers definitely need a way to import information quickly instead of entering each individual individually.

I worked closely with the dev team to see what options were possible. There are many plans proposed, but in the end, allowing data to be uploaded from excel files is more feasible.

Bulk upload

Not only that, we also provide templates to make future uploads easier by adapting to the system.

7. Potential Exhibitor

One of the special requirements of this system is "leads", which allows information to be saved in advance and added to future events.

8. Exhibitor Flow

After being added to the system, exhibitors can also log in and add guests.
